Barry Atkinson has worked in the entertainment industry for over 45 years as an Art director , Background Artist and Concept artist. Beginning his career he worked for his fathers animation studio "Atkinson Film Arts". The feature film "Heavy Metal" Barry designed backgrounds and built models for the B-17 sequence. After many years with his father company Barry Moved to Toronto to work as a Background artist on The first " Care Bear" feature film. Soon after he was on his way to Ireland to work for Don Bluth as a background artist on numerous projects including " An American Tail", "Land before time". He then was promoted as the Art Director on the animated film "Thumbelina". When Disney called Barry made his way to Los Angeles to work on "The Goofy Move" Lion king and many more. Dreamworks was next and His Visual development skills helped bring "prince of Egypt" and "Shrek" to life. Between his many Animation duties Barry has designed and fabricated creatures for Feature films and the Toy industry.
